¤ýFor higher ranges than 5A, use external shunt with a 50mV(60mV) instrumennt. ¤ýWhen D.C ammeter is used with a shunt, it is noted that a full scale and a terminal voltage(50mV, 60mV) of the ammeter are same as the rated primary current and secondary voltage of the shunt respectively. ¤ýUse any leadwire of which resistance is less then 0.05§Ù in total. if the shunt lead resistance is indefinite, the meters may be set up with a available resistor(V.R) for sensitivity adjustment. ¤ýThe shunt should be connected to the negative side linc. |
